House on the Village Edge

Long house on an elongated plot. This layout divides the land into a front residential section with the house, courtyard, and parking, and a rear utility section with a garden and orchard. The main idea of the design is a small, modest rural dwelling. This concept is complemented by the motif of views running through the house – longitudinally along the corridor with façade openings featuring seating window sills and views into the garden, as well as in the shorter, transverse direction. The narrow, elongated single-storey house with a half-hip roof and a veranda combines traditional rural architectural forms with contemporary elements.
