The main concept of the house is the intersection of private and public areas. This idea is also reflected in the material solution and the rhythmic articulation of the façade. The entrance level is divided transversely into three sections. One of these contains the children’s rooms, along with a bathroom and a separate toilet. This section is enriched by an additional room that can change its function as the chidren grow. In the earliest stage of both the house and the children’s lives, it may serve as a shared dressing room with a play area; later, it can be transformed into two separate dressing rooms, or its shared character can be preserved and adapted into a common study or even a music rehearsal room. The children’s rooms are accessed through a space narrowed by built-in wardrobes. The opposite wall is lined with a series of windows featuring seating window sills and views into the garden. In the wider part of each room, there is a desk with a bookshelf and a bed, also oriented toward the quiet garden.
