The manual was initiated by members of the Commission for Architecture and Urban Development, established as an advisory body to the City Council of Benešov. It represents a form of participation by the commission members in shaping the urban interior—the character of the city and its public spaces. The primary aim is to describe and analyse the current state of public spaces and to formulate considerations for their cultivation and improvement.
Public spaces serve everyone—without distinction. Therefore, it is essential to invest greater effort and resources into them.
