cross+shaped

We celebrate everyday life in the presence of an imposing sanctuary. The Holy Spirit as a divine presence within the ordinary. The design seeks a balance between the sacred and the secular. Beyond the boundary of the church plinth, we maintain a square ground plan and do not formally compete with the church’s elliptical form.
Informality is introduced through clusters of trees with planting beds and small elements colored in liturgical hues—red, purple, and blue. The square is divided into quarters according to the axes of the plinth. The intersection of the grid is accentuated by a cross and a symbol of positive charge.
